I provide individual counseling services to adults. My goal as a therapist is to provide my clients with a safe space that allows for self-reflection, finding balance in their lives, and encouraging positive behavioral change. My experience has been oriented toward applied behavioral analysis, which focuses on understanding the function of one’s behaviors, as well as addiction and co-occurring disorders, such as PTSD, trauma, anxiety, and depression. The therapeutic approaches I incorporate in my sessions include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing

I have over 7 years of experience working with adults in correctional and outpatient settings focusing on psychoeducation, anger management, violence prevention, trauma, PTSD, substance use disorders and addiction and over 11 years of experience working with children ages 2-17 with mild to severe behavioral disorders in clinical, community, and school-based settings.

I focus on meeting my clients where they are, without judgement, and providing them with tools to gain control and balance in their lives. I utilize a strength-based approach along with motivational interviewing because I want to empower my clients to recognize their capacity for change. I particularly enjoy working with trauma related and addictive disorders. I prefer a holistic approach to overall health and encourage clients to look at not only their mental health but also their physical and spiritual health as well.

About me:

I began working in the social work field in 2016 serving children and families living with addictions and mental health needs. I assisted clients by ensuring safety and connecting them families with resources to be able to be reunified together and or meet their needs to where they can reach their optimal functioning. This position led me to wanting to pursue graduate school and become a therapist.

As a therapist I have made it my goal to provide clients with a safe, secure, and non-judgmental environment that allows every individual to be able to express themselves and explore ways to resolve negative thinking patterns, feelings, and problematic challenges that they may face.
