Family and children services

Individual sessions are available for children ages three and older. Our clinicians will assess for possible mental health concerns and utilize person-centered treatment planning to address identified behaviors of concern.

These services include individual or conjoint sessions using cognitive behavior therapy (with the availability of trauma-focused CBT).

Parenting education groups available, including:

  • Nurturing Parenting: The Nurturing Parenting Programs are a family-centered trauma-informed initiative designed to build nurturing parenting skills as an alternative to abusive and neglecting parenting and child-rearing practices. Since 1983, their evidence-based Nurturing philosophy has helped families from all over the world and in all branches of the military improve their parenting skills.
  • PCIT: PCIT is an evidence-based treatment for young children with behavioral problems placing emphasis on changing interaction patterns through play. PCIT is a short -term, specialized behavior management program designed for young children experiencing behavioral and/or emotional difficulties and their families. PCIT teaches caregivers to manage their child’s difficult behaviors, while increasing their positive behaviors. PCIT works with the child and caregiver together to improve behavior and reduce parenting stress.
